BLACK & WHITE

Black & White - so many things in life I love that are Black & White. For instance, the cookie. The Black & White cookie is one of my favorites! Kidding. Well, I'm not really. I mean those cookies... woah, those cookies!

But for this moment, today, Im loving Black & White pictures in homes. Here are some great ways to display Black & White Photos in your home - They warm up any room in your house and stir up conversation.

Hope these images inspire you to add some to color to yours!

SHOESDAY!

For most NYC women, nothing can lift a spirit higher than a new pair of Sexy High Heels! I personally favor a nude heel, the way it makes the leg appear longer & in turn makes you look leaner! Nude heels are great for the office and can take you straight into Happy Hour.

Please remember the following when wearing heels:

1.       Cushion is key! Invest in a cushion insert for the ball of your foot.
2.      Pack flats! Comfortable ballet slippers in your bag, especially if you have to go from uptown to downtown in a flash.
3.       Stability Baby! Wear a heel with a platform for extra balance.
4.       Avoid subway grates! They will ruin your heel and cut the material up terribly!
5.     Roll out! Take them off when you can - I keep a tennis ball under my desk at work and while I work I roll my foot back and forth on the ball. J Ahhh, feels so good~
6.       Pedicure, lotion up and make sure they are presentable. Nothing worse than unkept feet. Pamper yourself and get a pedicure, please especially if you wear open toes and the rest of the public has to see!

Here are a few of my top favorite nude heels that are appropriate for the corporate working woman.....

THURSDAY BITES

After coming home from the gym starrrrrrving (stressing the R) and ready to eat my arm off, I decided on protein pancakes. Quick, easy and oh so delish!

In a bowl mix
3 scoops of Instant Plain Oatmeal
1 tablespoon flax oil
1 scoop of chocolate protein
2 egg whites
Dash of Splenda & Dropplet of Vanilla Extract
Teaspoon of CB2 Chocolate
*Yields 2 large pancakes

Spray and heat a skillet, pour half of the mixture in the pan. Once you see it bubble flip the pancake over for about 2 mins & repeat on the other side (timing depends on how cooked you like your pancake).

The topping was my favorite!

In a bowl mix
3 tablespoons of plain Greek yogurt
Mixed with a table tablespoon & a half of PB2 Chocolate and a Dash of Splenda
1 quick squirt of Agave  & Voila you have a delicious healthy protein packed meal!

Enjoy J

PEP TALK

So many people these days claim to be "motivated" to workout,  eat healthy etc. But why are they failing?

Motivation is not the answer. Sure, you can get motivated to get to the gym.  You can motivate yourself to eat healthier and live a more active lifestyle. But Motivation comes and goes. Motivation excites you and gets you wanting change But its not motivation that makes your better,  Its Commitment.

Commitment  keeps you on the right track. When you commit yourself to a better lifestyle, you can hold yourself accountable at all times. Sure you may be motivated by a picture to get your butt back in the gym but  have committed to going to the gym? You may desire these changes but are you committed to getting it done?

Being committed means doing things at times you don’t want to do but knowing that’s the only way to get to where you want to be. Setting plans up and keeping to them, not pushing them aside because your having an off day. Doing the work, day in and day out.

Have you just been motivated or have you committed?
