Have a lovely weekend......

SPLURGE VS. STEAL

There is never a need to break the bank over your makeup routine.

NARS “The Multiple” in Maui has been part of my staple everyday routine for the past year. I love the product but the price not so much. Just by chance the other day I came across a product a fraction of the price. Jordana Color Tint in “Rose Petal” same color different price.

ROSE PETAL SHOWN TOP RIGHT HAND CORNER

Price Comparison - $39 for Nars ....$2.99 Jordana

Take that $36 and put it back into the bank. Every penny counts.

Overall these are pretty cream blushes that give your skin a good glow, but don’t expect them to last all day. For $2.99, however, they are a great deal to keep stocked up on especially for you ladies always on the go.

STYLE INSPIRATION SERIES: Part 10

The Black Legging/Jegging

Leggings/Jeggings are an essential part of your wardrobe for so many different reason. The footless basic black legging can be worn with a tunic and flats for casual wear. With a touch of leather your basic legging can be worn at night. Be bold and rock your leather leggings with white converse for a casual day look or add a flat ankle boot for a more polished look. Your options are endless.

Invest in timeless pieces, and you’ll never be at a loss for what to wear for whatever occasion and season.

Here are some of my favorite looks for the black legging/jegging. My only request is that you make sure your a$$ is covered unless you are at the gym or in the privacy of your own home. The public appreciates this (unless you have a body like Giselle)

With the holidays just around the corner I've been looking at some decorating ideas for when guests come over. To me, its all in the small details that make your guests feel warm and welcomed Everything from the table arrangements, name cards and finger foods should be made with love.

Here are a few of some of my favorites that I've pinned on Pintrest. Hope this inspires you to step up your holiday game :)

DINE SOLO

As loud, colorful, and extroverted I  can be, there are many times when I enjoy the solitude and alone moments during my introverted times. Not many people understand that part of me or accept it. For me personally, I reenergize alone. I need “me time” to think or often times forget the craziness of life. Some people reenergize around family, some need sleep…. I need a good meal a la solo.

With that said, as I’ve gotten older I’ve learned that I enjoy purposeful alone time while I dine. I personally enjoy going to a cafĂ©, preferably “Le Pain Quotidien” nothing too fancy of a place but it is where I can reconnect. I can enjoy good wholesome food, a large mug of delicious coffee and an ambiance that allows me to read or people watch free of any distractions.

Deepak Chokra shared once(original source)

“I like to make a distinction between solitude and being alone. Alone signifies loneliness, whereas solitude means really connecting with yourself.” So go ahead and treat yourself to a nice dinner: It’s good not only for the taste buds, but also for the mind.

I'm constantly learning to balance responsibilities and playtime but Ive mastered the “alone time”. Everyone needs time to themselves. Next time you need sometime to yourself, take yourself out to your favorite dining spot. It doesn’t have to be a 5 star restaurant (or maybe it does) wherever you choose to go, turn off your phone and turn on your senses. Enjoy your meal and sit back and unwind.

A purposeful solo dining experience may just be what the “you” ordered.
