MAKE IT ROUTINE - JUST DO IT

The only way I'm able to juggle my day is due to the fact that I keep a routine which has over time become more like a "Meems Autopilot".

Some can argue that routine is boring but the fact is a routine allows more time for an easier managed and simpler life. Its adhering to a routine that frees your mind of the mundane tasks of your days so that the creativity in your life can easily come out without the unnecessary stress.

Here are a few examples of my autopilot routine.

  • Wake up at the same time every morning
  • Savor a cup of tea or coffee before your day starts - personally I enjoy catching up with  the news while I have my breakfast
  • Use a planner for everything from birthdates to to do's
  • Turn off social media at a certain time every night
  • Set a certain time for each day for learning something either by watching the news or reading the paper. Gain new knowledge and insight in the world or in life in general each day
  • Choose the same go to nail polish - a classic color that never disappoints
  • Choose the same day of the week to do your grocery shopping with you default grocery list
  • Become a loyal customer to the style of designer that appeals to you. That way you know what looks good on you and what you need to buy for your wardrobe. Click here for tips.
  • Don't buy trend. Buy what looks good on you and flatters your figure best.
  • Set up direct deposit, automatic bill-pay, etc
  • Engrain in your mind the phrase, “I’ll get back to you,” or “Let me think about it,” so you don’t make a rash decision.
  • Exercise at the same time everyday (approximately). Over time, people will come to expect it, you’re body will become accustomed and you’ll have less resistance (both internally and externally)
  • Have a go-to vegetable dish that pairs well with nearly any main entre you make. Plus when you have an unexpected guest choosing a meal wont be as stressful.
  • Schedule appointments for beauty before leaving the salon on the day of the current appointment.
  • Set up automatic subscription renewal
  • Make a day and time for cleaning and laundry each week. Follow a daily and weekly routine and your big cleaning days wont be as bad. Click here for tips.

Doing such small routines like I mentioned above will eliminate unwanted stress and will fill your days with more time to think of important and creative matters. Try it and let me know how it works for you. & Share! I'm interested in knowing your routines and what works for you!
