ROUTINE

I wanted to share some of my recent beauty haul purchases with you and how I use them in my routine. As I've gotten older I've made the proactive decision to take care and treat my skin. It may look like alot but the truth is with my routine I've been able to stop using foundation and layers of makeup to hide my skin. The result:my pores look tighter, I've had less breakouts and the overall health of my skin has been on the up and up.

So onto my haul and routine.....We tried the Clarisonic Aria and First Aid Cleanser last night and we absolutely loved them both! The wash left our face extremely clean with out any tightness and the Clarisonic was like having a facialist at the palm of our hands. We were staring at our skin in the mirror and couldn't believe just how fresh and clean our skin looked.  These 2 products will be used twice a week along with my routine down below.

Oscar Blondi Dry Shampoo Volumizer Travel Size in picture - awesome product!

Here are the products I'm currently using in order of how I use them for my skin routine only.

Once a Week I also use the BOSICA Black mask while in conjunction with my homemade hair mask. See post here.

& there you have it! The better you care for your skin the less makeup you have to hide behind. Its the only skin you have so start taking care of it! In the past I had to use makeup brighteners to achieve a dewy complexion but now its natural and I couldn't be happier. I also know that diet plays a huge role here, what you put in your body will show on the outside.  Remember to drink lots of water with lemon if you can.

STYLE INSPIRATION SERIES: PART 9

Oh Leather, I just love you! (insert leather squeak)

This style inspiration must have is my ultimate versatile piece. This can be worn with just about any item of clothing and will instantly turn your look edgy.

The "bomber" jacket was originally made during WWII when bomber planes weren't air proof and were extremely cold to be in at high altitudes. American (and British) armies issued these thick leather jackets lined with sheepskin and silk to their pilots to help keep them warm on missions.

Invest in timeless pieces, and you’ll never be at a loss for what to wear for whatever occasion and season.

Here are some of my favorite ways to wear the bomber.

WEDNESDAY WHO KNEW!

Want to hear a great etiquette tip? When you're introducing someone, you should always say their name first and their relationship to you second.

Wrong: "This is my sister, Rachel."

Right: "This is Rachel, my sister."

That way, you spotlight the person--not their connection to you. It's a small thing, but it makes a lovely difference! I just learned this, and I'm doing it from now on!

What do you think?

Did you know this little Gourmet-esque tip? If you're drinking wine and don't want to get lipstick on your glass, here's a trick: Simply & swiftly -  lick the edge of the glass quickly right before you take a sip. Slurpers need not apply.
